As this season progresses, I could not help but notice how fast the darkness slips up on you. It really started me thinking when the time changed. We had some families over the day before the time change happened, about 6 pm and we thought the kids can have a good time playing outside.

The next day they show up before 5 and it is pitch dark. Where did that come from? And here it really gets dark. No street lights or neighbors, just pitch-black dark.  So, I am sure you have stumbled around, whether outside or in your house, maybe looking for the light switch. Darkness gives us the feeling of disorientation, and that can lead to fear and anxiety, sometimes even panic.

So many people around us live in darkness, they have never seen the light. Jesus said in John 12:46, “I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in the darkness.”  Experiences are the same in our spiritual lives as our physical lives.

We are called to be WITH Jesus, LIKE, Jesus, so that we may LEAD other to Jesus. So I encourage you this new year to Pray and Ask God to help bring people into our lives that we can build relationships with and ultimately move them just 1 step closer to HIM.
