I apologize as I know I am running behind this month. It seems on holidays like Resurrection Sunday, Christmas, and such, things get very busy and then days have gone by.  March was not a very busy month as a whole, but consistently moving and preparing. Dealing with the spring and mud and helping people accomplish things to get life going, it is now, April. Where did the time go!

I do want to share with you one thing, that makes it all worthwhile! I will try to get back on step. In a previous newsletter, we spoke about Chewekah, also known as “Chewy.” If you remember, he lives completely off grid, up on the side of a mountain, with not even a vehicle. He rides a 3 wheeled bike. He was one who came to church once and drifted away. His dad was against church and his brother had nothing good to say. They live near him, but the relationships are strained, to say the least.

We have been praying for him and asking you to pray for him as well for over a year. After engaging him during a crisis, he came to church.  He has been consistently coming and has not missed a Sunday. He was greeted by everyone. People would just make their way over and sit and talk.

Well, in our service we take time for praise and prayer. People say what they are thankful for and their prayer requests. Chewekah always sits and listens. The last Sunday, He spoke up. He said he is thankful, because he was in a deep dark place in his life, he went on to describe a real pit. He said that he was so thankful for the people in this church that had pulled him out. He later said that he has never seen this kind of love before.

We had potluck and he was sitting with folks and laughing and talking.

Please continue to pray for him as we continue to share the Gospel with him, that he will accept Christ as his Lord and Savior!
