One of the reasons we are here is the Great Commission! “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Mat. 28:19-20. We were so wonderfully blessed we were able to do 5 baptisms. Since our church does not have a baptismal…. We are in cattle country, so yep…. We used a water tank we brought up to the church, filled it up and as you can expect… half way through filling it, we discovered a large leak. My highly developed southern skills we gathered a blue tarp and lined the trough and did our baptisms in the parking lot. For all of Chesaw, well those that were at the Tavern could see.

A few weeks later we had a lady that has been coming to the church during the summers for a few years and she said I have some questions. She said I was never raised around church and she really would like to talk. She said her whole life had never been any part of God, church or Jesus. I was so honored to share the Gospel with her!  Afterwards she accepted Christ into Her life! She was so excited! What a wonderful Blessing that God allowed us to be part of! It really is so encouraging when you share in the life of someone coming to Christ!
