Through the MomCo group, we discovered a new young family in our little town of Chesaw! Momma had given birth a bit prematurely to twin girls, all the while also caring for her adoptive siblings (young teen girls). This momma is overwhelmed! The father of the twins works as a border agent and has needed to return to work. We found that they had never had a baby shower living so far away from family, and not knowing many people in the community. Our church put together a big basket of baby needs (like diapers, wipes, outfits, etc) and delivered them. We made it clear that this gift was without strings attached and that we just wanted to support them as a community. We also delivered some meals, and have had a few opportunities to begin getting to know them, and having the start of spiritual conversations. It’s been so exciting to see that, while we’ve lived here almost two years, we are still finding new opportunities to minister within our local community, praying that the love of Christ will shine through.
